Galvanized steel pipe
Galvanized steel pipe is a welded steel pipe with a hot-dip or electro-galvanized layer on the surface. Galvanizing can increase the corrosion resistance of steel pipes and prolong their service life. Galvanized pipes are widely used. In addition to being used as pipeline pipes for general low-pressure fluids such as water transportation and gas oil, they are also used as oil well pipes and oil pipelines in the petroleum industry, especially offshore oil fields, and oil heaters and condensation pipes for chemical coking equipment. Pipes for coolers, coal distillation oil exchangers, trestle pipe piles, and support pipes for mine tunnels, etc. Galvanized steel pipe is a layer of zinc electroplated on the outside of the steel pipe. Because ordinary steel pipes (called welded steel pipes in engineering) are the same as cast iron pipes, they are prone to rust and corrosion at room temperature, and the outer layer is galvanized to protect the pipes. What you usually see is the color of the galvanized layer. Galvanized steel pipes are not allowed to be welded in principle, because welding will damage the galvanized layer, and there will be electrochemical corrosion between the solder and the galvanized layer. Therefore, it is usually a threaded connection, a clamp connection, and a threaded flange connection.
